Lauren Moakes was the narrator, and her smooth, honeyed speech was well suited to this story and added to my enjoyment. This one was a slog to get through quite honestly. I am not even sure why I kept pushing through. It was so slow and weighed down with unnecessary details. On top of that, Stina wasn't a very likable or engaging lead character. I don't have much else to say about it. I was promised "A haunting, twisty story" and this book delivered nothing near that. 🤷🏻‍♀️ This series just keeps getting better and better. The mystery involving Lily and Callum is so intense and has so many unanswered question. Bring on book five.Lily gets invited to the Skye Love Festival by Rachel. She leaves early and is accosted by Ryan until Calum arrives. Ryan vows to leave the next day. Lily finally hears from her lawyer as time is running out. After confronting Iain and his fake lawyer, Lily is content that all threats are over. But is this just the beginning of more trouble ahead? Really loving this series, especially Lily and Calum.
