So if this sensor is slow for you can go and buy faster! But bad thing is when you buy sensor and you can not use it with possible speed/resolution/color depth and etc. Which is the case so far. Just now we start to see cameras really enabled at max. And this one even have proper cooling. Ahahah, I was sure there will be someone complaining about weather sealing of the cooler, oh boy. You will get water because of the supply of the fan ..... ProRes] in [5.8K/29.97p] [5.8K/25.00p] [C4K/59.94p] [C4K/50.00p] when Thermal Management mode is set to Standard. Video-vs-photo - Well yeah I am aware of the rolling shutter values of most cameras from the last five or ten years. For a full frame 6k readout, most recent cameras have been around 20ms, probably on average a range from 16-28ms, kinda like you said. They're pretty much all roughly the same (slower than what I'd want) unless you crop in. Well any camera with a mechanical shutter effectively has the rolling shutter problem eliminated for stills photography, as a mechanical shutter crosses the sensor in roughly 5ms and the slow sensor readout can be done after the mechanical shutter is closed.

S5 IIX | Digital Camera World Panasonic Lumix S5 II vs S5 IIX | Digital Camera World

The camera may stop recording when used in a temperature that is lower or higher than the recommended operating temperature (0 to 40 degrees). Motion pictures with 200Mbps or less: External USB-SSD, SD memory card with UHS-I / UHS-II UHS Speed Class 3 (U3) or Video Speed Class 30 or higher

How people view images has changed , it’s mostly social media or on line galleries and often hand held devices. The social media platforms bin a lot of image data to keep the file size low, so hi Rez has no benefit . The Panasonic Lumix DC-S5 II is an update to the Panasonic Lumix DC-S5, their mid-range full-frame stills and video mirrorless camera. The latest version adds a new 24MP CMOS sensor with phase detection autofocus, a new mode of IS for video, an improved burst mode, and a new processing engine created under the L² partnership with Leica. It joins a growing number of bodies that use the L mount shared with Leica and Sigma. This is something that I'd personally like to see more of. If you were to take an S1 with launch firmware and compare it to one today, A LOT of things about the experience are different and much improved. Cameras (and Panasonic ones especially) get so many great firmware updates after launch these days that it's just not fair to have a day one review that never gets updated. Thanks to host of new and improved features, the LUMIX S5IIX and S5II are able to deliver truly astounding photo and video performance, including high-speed burst shooting at up to 9fps with mechanical shutter and 30fps with electronic shutter (capable of capturing up to 300 images), a 96-megapixel High Resolution Mode (JPEG/RAW) and Dual Native ISO sensitivity, which minimises noise and allows a maximum ISO of 51200 (204800 when Extended). RvEL I hear that. My beloved X-H1s are getting long in the tooth, and the only similarly capable (as in, not the gimped X-T5 that can't even take a grip and has a more shallow buffer than the H1) units they offer, with top plate LCD, are PASM video cameras that take stills. And the cheapest one of those is the same two grand as we find this new Panny-and the Panny is full frame and sportin' all that sumptuous L Mount Sigma and Leica glass.

Hands on with the Panasonic Lumix DC-S5 II: Digital

There is enough commonality between the S5 and the Mark II that the new camera can still use the existing DMW-BGS5 battery grip, providing space for a second battery. Battery In Micro Four Thirds and bridge camera world Panasonic (LUMIX) makes Leica approved and branded lenses and bridge cameras. As well as offering external recording of full-frame 5.9K (16:9) 5888×3312 12-bit 29.97p, 23.98p or 25p footage, the S5IIX can record to an external device from an APS-C section of its sensor in 4.1K (17:9) 4128×2176 12-bit at 59.94p, 29.97p, 23.98p, 50p or 25p, or in 3.5K (4:3) 3536×2656 12-bit 29.97p, 23.98p, 50p or 25p. Richard, It seems I am repeating myself here. Why is there no full review of this groundbreaking S5ii/x? hahahaha, no it wont sell like hotcakes and im positive it wont. there is always hype and sales to any new camera, so I know it will sell when its new but that wont hold for a long time. it will get its burst early then poop out.Your problem is you can't deal with the truth and have a problem when people tell you something you dislike. Its constantly boggling in your mind. How to get this thread going. You want to be the smartass that thinks he is better than any other person. You just can't handle it. If it would be more photo process and video results, then one would have to question a photo gallery, and instead produce a gallery of video clips. In either case, you get 24.2MP stills as well as a 96MP sensor-shift high-resolution mode, for times when you need serious detail. You can also shoot bursts of up to 30fps with the electronic shutter, or 9fps with the mechanical shutter, meaning both cameras are a decent choice for sports and events. Panasonic is going to sell this to Panasonic users, NOT to anybody else. Its a Panasonic camera for Panasonic users, like Pentax users are Pentax users. The userbase won't grown only shrink, due to poor lens line-up and no 3rd party lens support'.
