Linocut Printmaking

At 21 St Nicholas Street, Diss IP22 4LB

Develop a linocut image, either A6 or A5 in scale.  Try out professional cutting tools, experiment with mark-making. Use traditional grey lino and a new softer vinyl.

Carve the image then print in black and white on paper through a printing press as well as learning hand printing techniques. Subsequently, print over a monoprinted background, then try over printing in colour. Print several prints in the session, fabric off-cuts available as well as a selection of papers. Explore some colour inking, masking and layering techniques if time allows.

If you have any images that you would like to work with please bring them along, otherwise there will be images provided. Bring a packed lunch and an apron.
